Campaign Training Event
IMPORTANT UPDATE: This event has been postponed due to COVID. The campaign training will be held on September 29.
Now that the Skokie has implemented a more open and and equitable electoral system, the Skokie Alliance for Electoral Reform, in partnership with the Independent Voters of Illinois-Independent Precinct Organization (IVI-IPO), is focused on helping voters understand how to run for office.
To that end, we are very excited to co-host a one-time special campaign training event! On September 29th, Jim Garfield of IVI-IPO will lead a 6-hour training for candidates and their campaign teams from 12:30-6:30pm at the Skokie Weber Leisure Center.
If you’re interested in running for office or helping run a campaign anywhere in Illinois, join our event to learn more about filing as a candidate, collecting signatures, and running a campaign for office! Please use the following registration link.
Note that this event includes a minimum suggested donation of $25 for advance registration to cover event costs. Please give what you can, and feel free to contact us with any questions.
